Thank you for all the visits and the comments. The main purpose of this festival is to pray for the fertility of the couple. People with problems having a family goes to Budhist chuchs and take this very seriously.

I smiled when I first saw this. It reminds me of a piece of sculpture, in stone, that I had in a magazine that I used to publish — DRAW magazine. I was quickly reminded that it was a "phallus" but I had not even thought about that. This was a large stone carving or sculpture.
